Holidays!

"Well, close enough."

Engineering day tommorow. Early wake-up i guess. But then again, everyone is. And school uniform. Which isn't that good, but as Mr. Benic put it, "If you pay on time, I'll throw in a free pizza lunch." So it can't be bad. And Dr. Karl is there.

Watching some "Highway Patrol" show, and i realised how mob mentality affects people. Short story, short, big mob trashes Bob Jane T-Mart and gets onto youtube/video sites/media/whatnot and police come to investigate. One mob dispersion later, the bit is over and "Some people have since handed themselves into the police." I don't know about you, but if i was part of something big and illegal, i wouldn't go handing myself in. What's done is done and inflicting extra hardship onto you for guilt relief isn't exactly something that's practical. Then again, it comes down to morality vs. "what's in it for me." Of which i am reading some kind of short e-book about. And it's short, for wide-reading, plus i've read better, but hey, it's free.

Coldest "cold-snap" in 61 years. That's a long time. And it's pretty cold, but nice as well. Better than summer heat even if i can't sleep that well sometimes. Maybe i am thinking too much.

As for poetry, i think i'd prefer to write stories or something instead of jam-packing fancy techniques into a poem for meaning and calling it "free-verse". Then again, i'm grateful that my teach thinks that writing poetry, well, at least us writing it, isn't going to get far. Even though she's a poet, too.

Maybe over the holidays, i'll learn how to cook other dishes/things. Maybe. It's easy, but it just means knowing what certain combinations of flavours turn out and the laws behind vegetables, water and meat. And the humidity and all that jazz. Incredi-harmonious!

Hoping holidays aren't as boring as they usually are. Then again, the trade-off is no work from subjects i don't like, like PD or...Math/Science/History/Geo? Actually, math and science aren't that bad.
