"What? Fezes are cool!"
You'd be surprised at how many people park in the disabled zones even though they aren't disabled. It surprised me.
Stuff is being chucked out again. And it amazes me at the amount of stuff being chucked out just because it's slightly broken. Like televisions, which I assume they have a short circuit somewhere, which again could be fixed with a little bit of time, effort and knowledge (Which these days is everywhere. We are in the Information Age.). If not, they could be dismantled for parts, but I suppose not everyone wants gigantic capacitors that can kill you with its discharge. But, there are giant speakers. And guess what? Pimped up sound systems or amps or whathave you. It's amazing. And while I wouldn't mind taking home this stuff, dismantling it, and chucking the rest of whatever is unusable away, my parents don't think that we should. Because we already have enough spare parts, I think.
I was reminded again of the discussion on illegalizing smoking. Or "Phasing it out". Seriously, if they just made it illegal, they wouldn't be spending more money trying to get people to stop. Two problems, both points from other people.
1.They get a buttload of tax. Which increases every year.
Can't really argue with that except that if they really cared about spending less in the health sector for lung related disease or heart or brain related diseases related to smoking, then would do so. Maybe it even adds up to more than the tax.
2.It would make it on par with "illegal drugs" and make the "problem" even worse.
Well, why aren't illegal drugs re-introduced into legality like in...Amsterdam? I'm going to assume that most people wouldn't think of phasing them back in simply because of the harm it does to people. So why can't they be banned? They cause, more long term damage than anything else I know of.
Anyway. That was just something I remembered from a while back.
And now the electoral battle is becoming a "we have a better health reform than you" row. It's quite cool, but nothing is going to be done soon, which is a bit lame. And like most other people thinking about the shocking mental health system in Australia (Think about it. If they mainstream health system is bad enough, add on stigma about a "weakness" and all that concerning prostate health and breast health AND all the bad images about "crazy" and you have the mental health system.) I doubt anything much will change for that sector. More funding, fine. But still not enough for any sector. I guess they're the "basics" but, still people don't really care all that much except when they realise that a pill will cure them of their Cold. Obviously.
I haven't been really angry in a while. I wonder..
Hoping....for things to stay somewhat the same. As bad as they are.
