Honestly, the hostility you can get from people online is absurd. Why can't people be nicer?

The hostility you see from people online stems partly from that anonymity theory, partly from the fact that there are likely no consequences and partly from the fact that you're not used to it yet. Maybe partly because some people enjoy trolling.
