Satori!

"Aaron Eckhart did "The Core""

Which, incidentally, wasn't that bad of a movie. And that's where I recognised him from =O

Anyway, there's a character named Satori, whose song is "Satori Maiden - 3rd Eye". What does this have to relate to anything? Wikipedia/Google "Satori".

In other news...I thought I saw someone who looked like someone I knew, and they do look like it, just different hair style. Funny that...

In any case, I have 3 endings for my story. Which one to pick?

Hey, this is feeling a tad similar....

Anyway, there's one ending which is this:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rosenhan_experiment
The other is that the nurse is actually the "insane" one.
And the last is just that we explore the patient's background with the main theme of privacy invasion in psychiatric wards.

Maybe I'll drop the privacy invasion and go straight to the "Guess his background. Nope, you're wrong" kind of thing. Should be fun.

Actually, the third choice branches into two more endings. Either he kills himself, or he walks out. Unlikely he'll kill himself, because that would be playing to the tune of everyone including death in their story. Therefore.... He walks out and it's mildly happy, with some cloudy pathetic fallacy.

Nurse insane. Required is that I show that the man's wife left him, so therefore, I'm going to have to change the story so that the man is maybe a pastor or something, and the "nurse" is the patient. She has non-toxic crayon and the walls to write her "reports". Which would then mean that I can comment on the multi-colored nature of the walls... This isn't one that I like particularly, but it might be good.

JM tells me that I should write a draft of all three ideas, and then post them to see who likes what, but...I don't know.

So many choices!

Going with the Rosenhan ending, mainly because I've spent more than an hour trying to make the story fit in with the timeline, I think the name "Nurse Yagokoro" is valid enough in America. I'll explain it away with Japanese migration, post-war. Or not explain it at all. Now that the story is more or less complete, time to play around with structure.

Might write other drafts later, when I finish the linear version of this ending. Changing the structure can come later.

Draft 8, and I'm done. Mostly. Now who wants to read it?

Hoping I make the right choice. (One off occurrence, no swimming today, but usually do have it.)
